harpenden summer carnival

This event is always a highlight of the Town’s calendar, welcoming residents and visitors to a wonderful occasion in the heart of vibrant Harpenden!

The Summer Carnival demonstrates the very best of Harpenden, offering a free day out for all. It’s a huge fundraising event for worthwhile charities which this year includes the Town Mayor’s chosen charities and those selected by the Roundtable. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, stallholders, participants and visitors, money raised over the years has supported countless great causes.

This year, the Music Stage programme will include vintage Rock’n’Roll band James and the Blue Moon, the incredibly talented Sam Lewis and Harpenden favourites Number 7 and Maida Vales. The Performance Zone, will include show stopping entertainment from world famous circus artist Richard Filby, comedy juggler Matt Bernard, Cha Char Chimps offering an award winning show for pre-schoolers and the fabulous and fun Cotter Academy of Irish Dance.

In addition the Bubble Wizard will be back by popular demand, together with soft play, a climbing wall, archery fairground rides, facepainting, bungee trampolines, inflatables, ferret racing, mini golf and much more to guarantee a fun packed day.

There will be outdoor bars and delicious food stalls. The Engineer Pub will be hosting a lively outdoor bar, and in addition frozen cocktails will be served near the Music Stage.

This event is free to attend but please don’t forget to bring along a donation for the incredible charities it is supporting!
